McKinsey recruits in Berkeley, but not at UCLA.

End of Discussion.

Are you a moron or do you just pretend to be one? Whether or not McKinsey recruits at Cal and not at UCLA has no bearing on anything. If you are merely looking for attention, I suggest you try out for the title of "Biggest Troll on CC"....I think you have good chances

if you are talking about graduate school, I'd much rather go to Haas or Wharton rather than Anderson cuz Anderson just simply cannot compete with them.

Haas & Wharton = Two-digit recruition for McKinsey
Anderson = 3? 4?

Citan, thnx for the link, but im not interested in Anderson.
And let's limit our "discussion" to undergrad.
if you are here to argue the quality of UCLA's graduate program.... LOL!

I knnow UCLA's a decent school, but really.... be real.

DHL- I'm going to end it at this because I hate thread jacking and this one has already been sufficiently jacked, but really. I sincerely, truly hope that you don't wind up at UCLA. You seem to have some serious, serious issues with it and honestly it's really bothersome that you clearly think you'd be settling by going here.

Having opinions and biases is fine (regardless if they're based in "fact" or not), but you have some serious vitriol for UCLA and it's really weird. Don't apply here if you dislike it so, k.

It's not a "decent" school. It's a great school and it will get you anywhere you want to go. If you can't appreciate that, I don't think there's a place for you here. Your constant arguing and putting UCLA down makes it pretty clear that you'd be supremely unhappy with a degree from UCLA. That's a shame, because it really is a great degree. But if you can't appreciate that then I don't think there's any point in wasting the $65 application fee.

ETA- Not really, though. You're being very narrow minded about what a school can offer. It's much more holistic than prestige and academics as sole entities. Like I said, I wouldn't have thrived half as much at Berkeley, for various reasons. And actually, my program is better at UCLA not just because of the academics, but also because of where it can place me in my field. For someone who's so focused on getting into McKinsey yourself you seem to have a hard time understanding that it's different for other people. Just as a degree from Anderson might make it more difficult for you, a degree from Berkeley would have set me considerably back. So in that regard, Berkeley is NOT superior. Sorry.

dhl3 is clearly a moron and apparently isn't "well-informed" nor "aware of reality"....in another thread he said his GPA was a 3.71 and he put Haas as Reach and UCLA BizEcon as Safe Match....talk about wishful thinking

A indicates you know your material well and that you've focused in class and dedicated.

B indicates that you've tried but you simply couldnt pull it off to the top.

C indicates that you simply slept off your class and never even thought of the consequence. in another word, C is for irresponsible people. IN COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

'nuff said.

yea and despite being such a poor student I still got into UCLA EE

btw you are majoring in econ (way easier than engineering) and still have a 3.71 in community college....says a lot about your academic abilities

The difference is very obvious when you go outside of the United States. UCLA, people might have heard of it, but Berkeley will drop jaws.

I think the only schools that can compete in terms of prestige with Berkeley are Harvard Yale Princeton Stanford and MIT, and Cambridge and Oxford.

Hey, it does not matter how one college is ranked better than other colleges...it is the experience you get out of it...

nowadays, there is no guarantee that berkeley graduates will do so much better than other school graduates...even though you graduated from cal state long beach, you still do fine with your life...

stop saying how one is better than the other...
