your USC status/stats

Holy...

I'd expect you to get Presidential's or Trustee's.

Now I don't feel so optimistic. Top 18%...

hahah well i wish you were an adcom : )

good luck, don't fret- i'm sure you're fine, and even if you don't end up with deans, USC offers plenty of grants, etc. last year, a friend of mine received $4,000/year in scholarship from USC... and he still has no idea why! (he's not poor, and his grades were good but not off the chart fantastic)...so chin up, and hopefully i'll see you next year! : )

That's what the $4,000 a year award is called. It's given out by the office of student financial assistance, but it's not need based. It's kind of a hidden scholarship. You can't apply for it and it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere. My son got one three years ago. It was quite a surprise. He was a very interesting candidate but he didn't have outstanding academic credentials. Granted it isn't much, but that's $4,000 a year I don't have to pay, and he was going to go to USC anyway.

D:

Hey, have any of you tried to access Oasis? I know this is in the other thread, but I thought it might be worth mentioning here if you didn't see it. I'm not sure what it means, but it seems like some people can log in and some cannot (although this could be due to the fact that everyone has approximately ten thousand USC IDs). It's clearly meant for USC students, so I didn't play around or anything.

<a href="https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx%5B/url%5D">https://camel2.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx</a></p>

PIN is your date of birth (MMDDYY).

Edit: At least according to guidez89, the USC IDs are not the reason why Oasis works for some and not for others.
