Your words of advice and opinons will be very helpful - ty*

thanks momrath, I totally agree with you about the rigorously intellectual environment..

I think ultimately whichever I choose, I can't make a mistake.. I do feel very blessed... and I take comfort in knowing that I can't go wrong... It's just so hard though!

I am definitely considering Chicago a lot... And the more I read Chicago Life and the Course catalogue.. I like it more and more!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP FOLKS!!!

I will keep you posted... I think with time, it'll just come to me. I still have a couple of weeks!

THANKS AGAIN!!! :) :)

As others have said, including yourself, you cannot go wrong with either choice. Both seem to satisfy what you want in a college. But without my listing each and every reason for my suggestion, I am just gonna say that from reading "between the lines" in every post of yours on this thread....I see Barnard coming through according to more of your criteria in a college, even though I think going to UC would also be great. I just have this gut about Barnard in your posts. Sorry to not list every reason right now but thought I would mention a gut feeling from your very own posts.
Susan.......and CONGRATS on these!

First of all, Barnard is a single-sex or an all-women's college, not an "all-girls school"--we wouldn't refer to an all-men's school as "all-boys," would we? Not unless it's K-12.

That said, I know someone who attended Barnard and majored in American Studies and dance and is now with the Mark Morris Dance Company. If you're interested in dance, you may want to seriously consider Barnard.

Congratulations, and good luck with your decision!

Thank you very much Susan and Little Mother :) :) :) :D

Susan - my gut also says Barnard.. but I'll hold out for a little bit before I make it final... wanna give UC a chance!

Little Mother - dance is more of a hobby for me.. but yes I do love it, and want to benefit from the dance program at Barnard.

THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!! You folks rock :D

I vote for Barnard!!! My daughter will be going to Barnard this fall, and it's obvious that you have a very lively and outgoing personality (so does she)! So I'm hoping she gets to meet you.
I also don't think that Barnard is less rigorous academically than UofC.

soozevt/Susan - I sent you a pm via email.. did you get it?

Susanna - :) :) :) :) :D!!!!
