So in one of my classes I am the only junior in a group of seniors, and the seniors get out of school about a week before the rest of us, and I will be the only one in class with just my teacher for a week.

I am a very shy student and the only time I ever really talk to my teachers is if I'm asking them something class-related. I have plenty of friends and everything, but when it comes to adults I can never keep a conversation going because I don't know what to say.

My teacher and I get along fine, but what am I supposed to say so I don't seem socially inept? Lol.

You should do you work but if you want to have a conversation with your teacher…start with a compliment and tell him or her how nice their…dress, tie…necklace is. (just lie) If they want to continue talking you will feel it. Then ask about them…do they have kids? pets… Don’t talk about you. They wont shut up! It always works. Good luck

That does sound incredibly awkward. It’ll be the case for one junior in a class where I’m a student helper in a few weeks.
The teacher probably has a plan for the coming weeks; ask him/her what it is. Perhaps you’ll just be doing a study hall type thing.

Haha I’m in an identical situation. I’m the only junior in my German IV class of seven (the six others are seniors).

I’m not too shy except when around newer people (sometimes), but I am quiet. I’ve known my teacher for three years, but we don’t talk too much outside of class. It’ll be really awkward being the only one in my class when the seniors leave about two weeks before I do.

The good thing, though, is that my teacher doesn’t want to write the entire final just for me so I will just have to write a short essay!

You could go to sleep, or do something insane. That’s what I did last year in A.P Euro and Chem when all the seniors left. Party with myself and a teacher!

I’m a student assistant for my english teacher during her conference period. I’m supposed to be the only student in there but since it’s 1st a lot just skip and go in there. Also she’s really cool. I’m just helping her pack up stuff and just talking, she’s really cool. That or do my homework. But since it’s near the end by that time I’d just say you just get to know that cool science teacher more. It’s not odd at all like I thought it would be.

I was sort of in a similar situation, but only for one period of one day. Our Chem teacher is letting us watch An Inconvenient Truth in her room for extra credit. Her class is marginally hard and usually people need extra credit, so I left study hall one day to go watch it, thinking there would be a bunch of people there too. When I got there, I was the only one there. I felt so awkward, sitting in my usual seat in the back of the room, watching the movie on the Smartboard and her explaining things to me every once in a while and trying to get a convo started. I mean, I love my Chem teacher because she’s so sweet, but that was so weird sitting in a room all alone with her. I think for you, your teacher will just leave you alone and let you have a personal study hall, or let you escape to the library or something. It’s not like they’re going to talk to you or teach you alone for an entire week.

^Is he abnormally large? My math teacher always pulls some crap where we have to get him food if we go out, but I don’t go out, so he *****es about his food until he gets it.
