"You're pretty"

If you ever look through a hot girl’s pictures on facebook (not that I ever have ◔_ ◔) it’s pretty funny how all of them have 10 comments underneath saying how pretty she looks.

“do us a favor and stop looking gorgeousss”
“haha thanksss <3 i miss youu!!! (:”
“you’re soo pretty”
“awww thanks ___ i miss you!! lets hang out soon!”
“wow ____ your really pretty!”
“shankss you are too!! (:”

^ Lmao, captures the entire girl community in a snapshot. XD 'Specially the “stop looking gorgeous” >_____________>

Probably the most flattering/most awkward situation like this happened to me when I was shopping at walmart. A boy around my age walked up to me, said hey, and then said, “I’m really sorry to bother you, but you are the prettiest girl I have ever seen and I really just had to tell you that.” Haha, I probably stared at him for half a minute before I was like OH, well uh thanks. He was kinda cute, so it wasn’t super creepy, but still you don’t expect that stuff, especially not in the frozen food aisle.

Yeah, ugly people are such *******s

whichever girl says taht they don’t like “you’re pretty” clearly doesn’t get it used onthem… just another case of low-esteemed girls trying to have a guy compliment them on a quality rather than looks.

Eh, I didn’t mean it like that.

But, honestly, if a stranger is going to come up to me and judge me based completely off of my looks, then I don’t give a **** about etiquette, I’ll do the same.

“But, honestly, if a stranger is going to come up to me and judge me based completely off of my looks, then I don’t give a **** about etiquette, I’ll do the same.”

They’re only judging whether or not you’re pretty based on your looks. Nothing of your character.

I would say thanks to all of them. Because I know it would be sarcasm or a joke! Ha ha ha

I would most likely feel flattered and say thanks, although I might take it as sarcasm and blow it off. My reaction would also change depending on whether or not I am interested in the guy.

It’s even funnier when the girl isn’t hot, and she still has 10+ comments on how pretty she is.

^That’s harsh

New hypothetical…

Okay, say a guy is sitting in a class, and you are one of 7 or 8 girls sitting near enough to him that you could have a conversation with him without it being awkward because of how far he is from you. Now, say there’s a girl one seat beyond that. If the guy tells that girl (the one one seat beyond that appropriate “meet the people around you” distance), that she is pretty, do you take it to mean that you are not? Do you feel bad about it?

If i i was girl i wud interrupt and ask to engage in oral .then i wudnt care

I was in line behind a pair of girls last night, and the guy in front started chatting one of them up.

I felt bad for the other one.

Yes…for maybe 10 secs but then I’d tell myself something like, " damn you know that guy isn’t even that cute & why the hell is he lying to himself that girl looks like she a hoe and she aint that pretty…my ass! he prolly thought she was easy anyway!"

that way i can boost my self-esteem

I like being complimented on my looks… but sometimes I don’t take it seriously. I probably look somewhat like miley cyrus.

Do you think that random guys staring at you means you’re pretty? Like, while you’re walking, and when you look back, they look away. Assuming you’re not ugly, or have tissue coming out of your pants or anything like that. Because people stare at me all the time, girls AND guys, less so girls, and I wonder if it’s because I have a staring problem that I don’t realize and they’re only staring at me because I appear to be staring at them, or that this happens to everyone and I’m the only one noticing it.

That being said, it totally depends on what I wear. i wore a summer dress day (paired with a zip up sweater, so nothing too scandalous), and got about 5 comments (that were more than just “nice dress”). Last time I wore a skirt to the mall, I probably got like 10 comments from random guys, some of whom were with their girlfriends (wth?). I don’t know if this is what you’re talking about, though. Oh, and I used to get comments from people passing by in cars.

They usually don’t say “You’re pretty” especially if it’s a passing stranger. Some other variant. Probably less to do with my face, now that I think about it. Although I over hear people talking about me sometimes and they say “she’s pretty” so I guess it’s kind of an awkward thing to say it TO someone?

To clarify, though, I don’t think I’m actually that pretty. I think guys my age and around me are just creepy and horny.

^I’ve always thought it seemed like most girls underestimate their own attractiveness.
