You're the one we want! (EA)

How did you get wait listed already? I thought they just sent out acceptances, deferrals and rejections so far.

I think they mean deferred
thats what the template is set to

Got the deferral letter today. Now I have to wait until April. Oh well.

mizsjessyx3 - i just got my letter today for Decker Nursing
i got deferred though
best of luck to you!

I meant deferred. The template was set to waitlisted. Sorry 'bout that

me too!
i got deferred also =/
i was actually happy that i wasn’t rejected, but only deferred. knowing that my stats wasn’t as good as other to begin with.
but then again, i dont think they reject anyone from the EA pool

@AAsupreme23 If an individual was rejected, I don’t think it’s very likely that the person would post on a site about it, I think he or she would probably keep it to themselves. I’m sure there has probably been some rejections.

Edit: I might be wrong :p

Yeah thats what I was thinking too. I probably wouldn’t want to be the first to post a rejection. But I ask because even from the other people in my school, everyone was accepted or deferred and I haven’t heard of any rejections at all.

I don’t think EA applicants are rejected. They are deferred and looked at again for Regular admission.

I applied on october 24 for EA and just received my deferral today. i know some people EA who still didn’t hear back

I think Binghamton got way too many applicants in the Early Action pool.

^definitely

Ya0007: Congratulations! Did you find out on-line or through the mail? Best of luck.

I got accepted today
I got accepted to the college of community and public affairs even though I applied to harpur
I don’t know anything about the college of community and public affairs and I really want to get into harpur. Is there anyway I could still get into harpur or could transfer during the first semester?

AAs,

Isn’t it odd to be accepted to a different school? Does this imply they’re suggesting a different major?

I guess I wasn’t good enough for Harpur so they put me in Community and public

But I want to know If I can transfer into Harpur If I decide to go to Bing, because there’s no way I want to do anything in Community and public affairs?
Does anyone know if this is possible and how long I would have to wait?

Thanks Tyler15. I found out through mail. I received my letter a little earlier than most people because I received mine on Christmas morning.

AA: was this your post?

“I have similar stats to yours except I applied with a 1340/1600 SAT. I had similar EC’s and I applied to harpur, and I was deferred. It’s definitely worth a shot and I would say you have a good chance.”

Binghamton will take deferred applications and offer alternative schools if a request is made (i.e. SOM to HArpur, Harpur to community and public affairs)…did you make a request to change schools to be admitted? if not, they may be doing this automatically this year…
