Youth About Business Summer Program

So I'm currently seeking interesting summer program ideas for summer 2011. I'll have just finished my sophomore year and will be going into my junior year.

I found this website through this forum via a suggestion in a thread. I'm highly interested in participating in a summer program based around business, so even if you don't have information regarding this program please suggest a different program!

Anyways, I have a few questions;

How prestigious is this program?
I get that this is a two-tier program, you go for a first year in order to be able to attend the more prestigious second year. Does the first year have a high acceptance rate? Is it even application based? Also, is this program something application worthy? I wouldn't just be going solely for that purpose, but it doesn't hurt.

Cost
Is it worth it? How much is it? Money isn't a deciding factor, but I want to know what is covered and such.

Admission
I'm a white male who attends a public school. They say that they seek students from public schools, but do they have racial preferences? I know LEAD is a minority program. They also mention the percentage of kids who come from low-income families, which I'm not. Does any of this matter?

Anyways, thanks for taking your time to read this and please post if you have any information. I live in the Midwest and would prefer to go to the Chicago based program.

Lol i did the program this summer,

it makes a huge difference if your doing it with a group from your school or if youll be the only one from your school, I was miserable i mean MISERABLE worst experience of my life the people I had to deal with on my team, but i do reccomend the program it was a great learning experience

1) Extremely high acceptance rate, compared to the other summer program i did, LEAD SBI

2) its like 300 dollars or something like that

3) They do have racial preferences but you’ll get in , besides , minority programs have been exploited big time by whites ( not to sound racist or w/e lol )

Its not as prestigious as LEAD SBI but i mean its at Columbia University so that cant sound bad

Hope this helped
