<p>I applied, who knows if I’ll get it though. What are the stats for people that receive the scholarship?</p>

My extra circulars list was a page long.</p>
<p>Uh…what else were they looking for? Haha i forget. I thought my essay was pretty good. My family isn’t the most financially stable, either.</p>
<p>ACT: Was okay. Lol.
GPA: 3.91(UW) 4.00+ (W)
Extra-Curriculars: Many! Focused mainly on community service and business. Leadership in all clubs and organizations. State VP for one of the business organizations. National youth council for a nonprofit (well actually two nonprofits).
Awards: Many national level awards. 212-13 Narional Nordstrom TEN4U Scholarship Winner, Coca Cola Scholarhip Semifinliast</p>
<p>Oh yeah, South Asian (minority, however, not underrepresented). Family in need of financial help.</p>
<p>I don’t even remember the awards I listed besides AP scholar. But I’m white, even though that doesn’t make a difference. If I have any type of shot it’s because I’m floating right above the poverty level.</p>
<p>I doubt I will get it. But hoping for the best.</p>

<p>I sent a self addressed envelope with my application and haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully that’s good news?!</p>

<p>My daughter applied and got an email a few weeks ago asking for some additional financial information. To my knowledge, she still hasn’t heard anything. The recipients should be hearing any day now.</p>
<p>I applied and have also heard nothing. Many scholarships seem to be running late at announcing. The United Veterans Foundation was supposed to announce May 31 and changed it to June 14.</p>

<p>Conrats to your daughter and her friend, jaharrison1620. I did not hear anything from them so I presume I am not a winner. I am okay with that because without the “Sorrys” you would not get any “Congratulations” either. You win some, you lose some.</p>
