<p>if you took the PSAT/SAT or AP tests and checked the box that said "YES! authorize prospective schools to send me lots of crap!" then you will be getting flooded with school mail...LOL, apparently schols are still sending me stuff...and I'm a freshman in college.</p>

<p>Interesting you mention that, curiouskatie. My mailbox probably gets on average about 3 or 4 new college mailings a day. My desk drawers have been converted all to college-related things.</p>
<p>I had STACKS of viewbooks, letters, and all other stuff from colleges my senior year. What a waste of trees.</p>
<p>Interesting. My S did extremely well on the PSAT his junior year. We got a 30 gallon garbage bag full of mail last spring, but haven't had nearly as much this fall. Still getting things from good schools, just not the volume we had last year. Think they've realized he's already made his choices and started the apps?</p>
<p>My son is a college freshman, and he STILL gets junk mail from colleges... two or more a week for the past month. (Nothing like what he was getting this time last year, but it shows how mindless the mailing lists are.)</p>
<p>I started to get minimal mail last year, before I had even took 1 standarized test, and I just took the PSAT, so i expect tons of mail.</p>
