<p>just kidding.. well, now that i have your attention...</p>

<p>might as well post some stats... chances for STERNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~</p>

<p>gpa 3.375 (already a disqualification, i think) 3.875 weighted
SAT 2050 (560CR, 800M, 690W, 9 on essay) (got 11 on essay the second time, but who cares)
SAT2: 690, 650, 640 (retook on nov, awaiting result)</p>

<p>ECS
speaker of the house for JSA (national club, pretty famous)</p>

<p>journalism editor in chief for 9th grade</p>

<p>went to school in china for 9th grade, got a lot of cultural awareness stuff
also vbasketball there, and "classroom monitor"</p>

<p>have about a billion community hours</p>

<p>internship in shanghai this past summer, taught english to executives in a company... 4 weeks</p>

<p>then went to rural china and participaated in an intel sponsored english teaching thing, again, 4 weeks</p>

<p>head scorekeeper for NJB, 10 bux an hour</p>

<p>jv football 10th grade</p>

<p>summation of ECs: my two teaching experiences gave me "management skills" and so forth.. u see the equation right?? managing a class is kind of like managing a business... also got some experience with how businesses run on a daily basis etc</p>

pretty good school report
going to visit sometime soon
father lived/worked in china for the past 5 years
and mother had breast cancer for about 5 years too, had to do a bunch of stuff around the house (aka, housework, and take care of my younger bro)</p>

<p>too bad we dont have financial difficulties... extremely sound in that aspect, in fact</p>

<p>Not that I really have any idea (I mean, I've only just been accepted ED), but I think you have a fairly decent shot. Your extra curriculars seem solid, etc., but the only aspect I'd work on raising is your SAT and SAT IIs.</p>

<p>Your SAT would've been fine for ED, but I'm pretty sure that for RD to Stern, to be competitive, you need a 2100 +. If your bring your SAT IIs up to 700s and your SAT to a 2100 +, I believe you have a fairly good chance.</p>

<p>To be honest, I think you'll have a hard time getting in. Mostly due to your low GPA and low scores on the SAT Critical reading. </p>

<p>Your extracurriculars seem to be good, but your scores and GPA is quite low, and not to mention you're an ORM and chinese. And a lot of asian people apply to stern as well, so you have a low chance at this point. But this is only my opinion and I am no admission officer, so good luck!</p>

<p>I agree with akhila...if you applied ED you would have had a better shot at getting in...and most likely would have, but the RD round is 10x more competitive with wharton rejects applying who Stern for the most part accepts...not to disappoint you, but that GPA is killer :(</p>

<p>Stern will be a reach RD. eventhough your ec's are good, there is nothing spectacular that may make up for your bad Sat and SAT II's. I highly doubt that they would take anyone with 500's on a sat section. But apply, you never know what they might see in you. gl</p>

<p>no offense.. you sound a little " too" confident in ur financial situation... just dont show that on ur application .. </p>

<p>otherwise.. i think ur ECs are a bit too focused on "chinese" stuff..which is going to be really really cliche for a lot of RD apps.. </p>
