YSP or Research professor!!!

I got into the Young Scholars Program at FSU. !!YAY!! But I also had made arrangements to work alongside with two professors at a local university. Which one should I choose????????

P.S: i know that this might be posted in the wrong place. but i couldnt find a suitable place to post it.

I think you should go for the YSP program but still continue on with the research when you come back. Plus you can also get a lot of the research done befor you go too.

b.u.m.p anyone else??

The YSP looks very promising.

Since it is apparently only a six-week program, maybe you can do both.

Good luck!

See: http://bio.fsu.edu/ysp/

Here's a link to the FSU section:

If you had to choose, pick YSP! I attended it last year and loved every minute of it.

btw, what was the acceptance rate this year?

thanks for your suggestions guys.... hmmmm regarding the acceptance rate - i am not sure abt that but i do know that they accepted 40 ppl.

klepta: was the ysp useful when u applied to colleges?????
thx

Hopefully this proves YSP looks good on an application:
The majority of yspers from last year are going to MIT (5), followed by Yale (4) and Duke (4-including me), and Stanford (3). Other colleges represented include Harvard, Upenn, Wash U, Wakeforest, Chicago, Princeton, UF, Northwestern, Davidson, Carnegie Mellon, and Dartmouth.

Despite being at FSU, YSP is highly renowned. I discovered the program on the mit website- http://72.14.207.104/search?q=cache:QnNr845rlDAJ:matt.mitblogs.com/archives/2004/12/share_the_joy.html+ysp+fsu&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=5

thanks for the info.... i am prolly going to go to the YSP then and maybe continue my research with the professors
