Is it worth sending them an update about an award/placement that recently received (submitted the application before due date - this is to just let them know that a paper I co-wrote won a research presentation award - its in math/cs). It could make the application strong but not sure if they even consider it.

Hi, fellow YSPA applicant here - does anybody know when the decisions are likely to be released?
Also, what factors do you think matter the most in determining whether somebody gets in? (the anxiety will be the death of me)
@bowdowntobowties they sent out an email when u submitted your application saying the date of the decisions is around april 7th. in previous years theyve released decisions earlier, though ā around april 3rd or so
i think teacher recs r really important and how much passion for astrophysics you showed in your essays? im not sure, but i saw yspa 2017ās thread and assumed so
