I looked at last year’s post and at least one person got off the waitlist, so idk if there’s any hope or not.
@PistolsorBlades YSPA says they admit exactly 32 kids, so they can’t send out more than that and adjust spots for yield. I assume there’ll be overlap between YSPA and SSP admits, and a good amount would probably choose SSP. I don’t know how long the waitlist is, but I’m removing myself because I committed elsewhere. I’m not saying its likely, but I’m sure there’s hope. Just send a really nice note in response letting him know how interested you are.

Hey guys, congrats to all that got in! Unfortunately I was one of those with a SmarterSelect time of 20:29 (rejected). To those that got in, I would like to know how they structured their application. For example, what did you include in the extracurriculars? What did you talk about in the general interest essay? Any feedback is appreciated, I am trying to know how to strengthen my app for next year. Thanks again!
