Yummiest Dining Halls to Try During Cornell Visit!

Hello! We are visiting Cornell next week and are wondering which dining halls would be the best for lunch and dinner. :)

Thank you in advance!

Hey! I would recommend any of the new dining halls on west campus. You can check the menu before hand at dining.cornell.edu and click on menu on the right. You can’t go wrong on west, but if you want to eat on north go to Risley. I would also recommend going to Trillium, which is cash and not all you can eat.

I recommend RPCC on North Campus. It’s one of the three dining halls on North Campus [predominantly freshman housing] and it’s probably the most popular / has the most options.

I disagree - RPCC is not that amazing at all. If you are talking about North, Appel is better. West is pretty good overall. Trillium is good too, but you have to pay.

lunch = trillium, or martha’s which is the best but most people don’t go to it unless they’re in humec/ag. synapsis is also great but a little out of the way I think.
all are a la carte which is better for lunch because the dining halls aren’t as stocked for lunch (not even completely sure whether they’re open on weekdays? i think maybe appel is?) and they’re more expensive because you pay a flat rate.

dinner = rpcc, west is better but there’s no point because no freshmen go down to west to eat

Almost any dining hall will be fine. West is nice, but has less variety than North. I would go to Risley as it provides a unique experience. I would avoid Oakenshields on Central, even if it is convenient and for lunch I would suggest an a la carte facility like Trillium.

"-1 for use of the word “yummy” in a thread title" LOL :)

Thank you for all your suggestions!

I’d suggest Louie’s truck on the street on North Campus … if you’re a procrastinator and will be up late a lot you may end up eating there a lot!
