Essays:
Not conceit, but i'm a pretty strong writer, so my essay won't be a problem at all.

I'm stressing the hell out. One reason is because I have a misdemeanor on my record, from some stupid careless thing that happened a year ago, and I think that'll tank any chances I had of getting accepted. Also, a question: Does it matter if I apply EA or just Regular Decision? Does either one effect your chances of getting accepted? Thank you!

You’ve done well - you are competitive to join UChicago. Work hard on SAT

Thank you, and I really hope so.

EA generally has a higher acceptance rate, but mostly because it has a stronger applicant pool with greater interest. If you really want to go, then applying EA is better, because… why the hell not? :-)

Awesome, thank you. I’ll get on it then.

*Oops, I meant GPA: 3.8 UW
