Hi, I have a question regarding upenn results. Does upenn offer its applicants another option besides the usual accept/waitlist/reject decisions? For example, Harvard has Z-List. Cornell has Guaranteed Transfer (GT). Does upenn have anything similar?

What is a Z list?

^rich/legacy/well connected applicants get admitted into Harvard on the condition that they wait a year to enroll. As far as I know, Penn does not have any similar policies.

My friend claims that he got a guaranteed transfer admission to UPenn Class of 2014 meaning he will be given the option to transfer next fall, though I cannot verify whether it’s true or not.

Hmmm, not sure if Penn does this (it wouldn’t surprise me if they did), but Brown has a similar system to Harvard’s. Although, it’s hardly reserved for rich legacies as far as I know of. Recently, Brown has guaranteed spots to students in the following class years.

Did any other waitlisted applicants get guaranteed transfer to UPenn this year?
