Zombie Orangey's ALIIIVVEEE

Hey Guys! So in case none of y'all heard, I was put on Exeter's waiting list a few months ago. I applied as a lower. and I'm probably not going to get off. So I've been doing some hardcore thinking, and I think I want to reapply next year for upper year. Will the fact that I've been waitlisted before increase my chances, or is the 11th grade just too hard to get into? What do you guys think? Thanks! :)

if you got wait listed as a sophomore i doubt it will increase your chances applying next year since applying as a sophomore is soooo much easier than applying as an upper. reapplying shows persistence, but in order to really have a decent shot you need to find whatever reason they didn’t accept you this year and change that. If your grades or SSAT scores weren’t good enough you should probably study harder to improve that or do more extracurriculars. Also you might want to think about applying as a repeat, then your chances of getting accepted would definitely increase.

What if a person got rejected as a sophomore and reapplied as a repeat sophomore? Would that person have a better shot if they improved upon what caused the person to get rejected? (Obviously I am talking about myself.)

I got waitlisted as a sophomore…hm. I really don’t want to repeat, though.
