I am still deciding whether I want to enter medical school or be a clinical lab scientist. I understand medical schools don’t care what your major is, as long as you have all the required courses in and have a good MCAT score, but what about clinical lab science? I don’t want to major in clinical lab science because that is a vocational major, and I heard that looks bad when applying to medical school. If I decided to major in zoology and be a clinical lab scientist, could I still enter a clinical laboratory science program after I got my bachelor’s?
You can still enter a CLS program as long as you have the required courses to apply, just like Med School. Have you considered doing Microbiology as a major? It will fulfill all the Medical school and CLS program requirements at the same time.
