zZZ...How much sleep do my fellow ccers get daily?

How do you guys keep yourselves awake?

You just get used to it after a while I suppose but i do yawn a bit in school.

I used to get 4-6hours during the year but now its closer to 6-8 as May approaches :)

not enough

Exactly the same with GoodByeHello! :)

Usually I’m in bed some time between 11 and midnight, and up some time between 8 and 9. Today, though, I only got about 6 hours of sleep.

Usually I go to bed around 12/1/2 -most of the time 1.30-, if I’m feeling obedient -almost never- then at around 11. And I wake up everyday at 8.

I can survive pretty easily on 4 hours, but I prefer not to because then it’s hard to wake up. Today I got around 6 hours of sleep -2~ish to 8~ish-.

I used to be able to sleep a lot, and I used to love it. I’d sleep 12 hours or so, now I think I can’t anymore…, unless I’m really exausted.

I just pulled an all nighter. Haha. But that’s only because I’ve been trying to get my sleep schedule back in the right place before school starts again tomorrow. I’ve been sleeping during the day and staying up all night all break. Oh yeah, and I’ve been procrastinating on my homework. That too.

On weekdays, I go to bed anywhere from 6pm-3am, wake up at 7 for school. Weekends I sleep for 10-14 hours. It really depends on how much work I have, my tiredness, motivation, etc… which basically changes daily for me.

This year I’ve been sleeping generally around 11 PM, give or take maybe half an hour. Wake up at 6 AM, so around 7 hours on school days. At the beginning of the school year, this was fine for me and I could easily stay alert for school, but lately it’s been hard for me to keep my eyes open in my morning classes before lunch. Maybe it’s just the cold lingering in me.

Next year is going to be worse. More work, so later bedtimes and I have to wake up at 5 AM to get to school. Not very excited.

So on a normal weekday I take a nap when I get home from school from 5 till about 8, then I don’t go back to sleep till about 2:30 am, then I wake up 6 am and repeat…worst schedule ever :(

The nights are cruel
For when I sleep, I cannot dream.

A study at UPenn concluded that just about anyone getting less than 8 hours of sleep a night is going to experience a significant drop in performance during the day. How extreme depends on the person and the magnitude of the sleep “deficit” each night. So for all those people saying that they run fine on <5 hours a night, you just don’t realize how much better your performance could be.

9 hours, baby! 10:30-7:30. Sometimes I have to stay up to 11:30 or 12:00 for English projects, but that’s doable, and you couldn’t pay me to wake up any earlier than 7:30.

Depends on the day, but I usually sleep between 4 to 8 hours.

Good enough: 11-7
Survival: 1-6
Barely there: 2-5
Dead: two all nighters in a row

I try to go to bed at 8:30 every night, and I wake up at 6:30. Sometimes though I’ll just be on my computer doing nothing and don’t end up going to bed until 10:00. I still don’t understand why but I always fall asleep in 4th period. It really makes me mad that you guys can go to bed at like 1 or 2 and still have enough energy to make it through the school day.

I have read many, many studies on the negative affect of sleep deprivation on the brain and performance. However, it truly does not apply to me, and I assume there are others it does not as well. I know, because I have forced myself to sleep for the recommended amount of hours before, and it actually caused me to feel worse the next day.

I have the most horrid sleeping schedule.
I go to bad at Midnight. I don’t actually “fall asleep” until 1:30, and I wake up around 5:45am. I’ve been keeping up good grades, but I can’t be expected to do anything over the weekend, since I’ll be trying to cram in 32 hours of sleep, lol.

9-12 hours

I go to bed when I’m tired. Sometimes that’s at 7Pm, other times, 1AM. I tend to average 8-11 hours of sleep on school nights. I’ve done 14 before (late start schedule, 7PM-9AM, School at 10:15), and if I have homework but I’m tired, sleep always comes first. I’d rather be alive and healthy than have a 10/10 on some pedantic assignment.

sleep between 11 and 3 am, wake up at 5:30, school starts at 6:45

9-12 hours on the weekends though
