Anyone applying to other SSCs or HWCs?
Hello @anon3553244 I’m applying for '25 at MHC and Smith. I probably won’t get in, but it lessens my anxiety a little bit to chat with others. I saw something on these forums about “likely letters”, have you heard about those?

Hey,
I don’t know much about likely letters apart from that they’re quite rare and will probably be out on the fourth of March if things follow as they have in previous years.
I’m pretty convinced I won’t get in

Yeah I’m starting to feel pretty dismal about my chances at MHC as well, thanks for the info on the letters.
I applied to UVM, Lehigh, SJSU, Scripps, UCSC, and Cal Poly SLO.
I’ll probably only get into UVM and SJSU though.

Where did you apply?
I’ve applied to a bunch of private LACs, my top schools are MHC, Agnes Scott, Grinnell and Wesleyan.
I’m an international student so my chances of getting in anywhere in the US are close to zero!
Oh I wouldn’t say that! MHC is super interested in international students. I haven’t heard of any of those other schools, but I hope it works out!

Hi Alby20 ! D has applied to Smith, MHC, and Bryn Mawr. All RD. We will see! She’s in to Sarah Lawrence with a Presidential Scholarship so that’s good! Also had two other acceptances which she already declined.

My daughter applied ed1 to Wellesley and was deferred. She applied rd to Smith, and Bryn Mawr in addition to MHC. She applied ed2 to Boston university because she really wants to be in Boston, but she would be happy to attend any of the 4 hwc’s if BU doesn’t work out.
My D has applied RD to MHC, Smith and Bryn Mawr as well. Fingers crossed.

Hi there! Just curious those that applied this year… have you gotten a portal login yet? I applied 3 weeks ago and haven’t heard a thing from MHO… like not one peep. Just wondering. I will email them tomorrow.

I applied November time and got my portal within 72 hours from what I remember.
It could just be that a lot of people applied around the time you did so there may be a backlog, but emailing the admissions office to check is a good idea!

@Teddyabear2021 That doesn’t sound right. This is probably too obvious, but did you double-check your spam folder (school email addresses often filter heavily), and did you double-check the common app to be sure it shows submitted? If there is truly nothing, I recommend you email admissions to say you haven’t received a link to the portal. My D applied ED2 and will be attending in the fall. She received a link to portal a couple of days after applying. I know RD is much busier but you should have received the link by now. Good luck to you!

Hi. Daughter applied too, eagerly awaiting to hear! Her #1 choice is Skidmore but Mt Holyoke definitely in the running. She is not positive about a women’s college, but maybe!
