For an athlete interested in athletic recruitment at a school recommending SAT 2’s, when must the SAT 2 scores be submitted for the AI calculation?
The same deadlines that apply to the rest of your scores will apply to the SAT2s if required.
AI only applies to Ivy’s. During the summer when most Ivy official prereads are done, all the SAT and SAT 2 scores have to be in
Thanks @starwars1. I was mostly wondering if the June test date would be too late. I received different responses when I called admission offices. It seems there is no single schedule for all the colleges. To be on the safe side, it would be best to rush order the June test score.
If you are mostly interested in the Ivy recruitment, each school has a different timeline for when the preread is done. For Harvard, also depending on the sport, the coach had the official preread done the first week in August. If you have all your SATs including the subject tests, the coach will be able to do preliminary calculation of the AI and tell you if it is worth pursuing the recruitment. If your scores and grades seem to be either borderline and above, he will have the admission liaison review your file for a preread and either give a green light or red, sometimes yellow. UPenn had done a preread much earlier, as early as June. Yale coach said if we give a verbal commitment, then in mid May he will have the admission liaison do a preread.
Thanks again @starwars1 for confirming what I had surmised. It goes college by college, there is no universal date for the pre-reads. It does seem like June should be the final test date. If it weren’t for those pesky SAT 2’s . . . .
@Roseystoney, unless specifically told to take the 2 subject tests, many ivy prospects don’t do this----the school just doubles up on the ACT/SAT score to replace the sat subject test input in the AI calc.
In the Ivy, admissions pre reads can’t begin before July 1 preceding the recruit’s senior year. I personally would not pay for the rush service on the SAT 2s.
