0+6 Years Schools for Pharmacy? URGENT QUESTION!

Hey guys. I would like to apply to FAMU College of Pharmacy as a senior directly out of high school. My stats and please tell me if I qualify and what I should do to make my app better.

Gpa: 3.9

From California
My Junior year was messed up so I didn't take many challenging classes. I self studied. Good Ec's, officer positions.

my big question, will colleges take into offense my jr yr course load cuz it was easy and i had to self study 2 ap exams?? i had a scheduling problem… and dropped out of ap physics C, but is taking B this yr

also what other 0+6 yr pharm prog’s do u guys suggest… cuz i want one tht i can get into out of hs and just go immediately into their pharm program w/o PCATS… like im looking at URI pharm, Duchesenne (sp?) pharm, etc… please give me other choices!!

Yeah, I think Rutgers will be tough for you. But I think you’ll get into St. John’s and URI and probably USciences. Don’t know about FAMU very well so I can’t say.

Also, try MCPHS as a safety school. You’ll definitely get in there.

ok thnks. how much of a scholarship do u think i can get frm St. John’s, other NYC pharmacy schools, or maybe even URI (wanna go to family guy’s home state lol)

I heard that MCPHS was extremely hard to graduate from. many just drop from the school. I wanna go to an easier one like USP or Albany? Think its possible?

I think not many people graduate from MCPHS because to begin with, their stats are lower than other PharmD schools. That’s why it’s easier to get into MCPHS. So, they may not be as qualified and as prepared to take on the challenge. Also, MCPHS doesn’t have a lot of merit scholarship even though it extends to all six years unlike other schools.

And yea, you have a good shot at both USP and Albany but personally I’m not a fan of Albany.
