Hi, I was just wondering if people could help me find accelerated 1 year masters in teaching programs in NY, specifically Westchester County or NYC... that area at least.

I know there Bard College, but it's too far north, looking for something closer to home (live in Westchester).

Are there any? Or are they all 2 year programs? I've tried googling but can't seem to find anything but Bard using my search attempts.

Would appreciate help here. Thanks!

If you are willing to go a more nontraditional route, you might look at the New York City Teaching Fellows program. It is very competitive but allows you to work as a teacher while working on your subsidized master’s degree.

NYCTF and Teach For America would be some obvious ways. I think they use Pace and Bank Street College.

Is NYU two years?

Yeah, I wonder if you can just do a one-year program at Pace?

Hunter College/ other colleges in the CUNY system might offer one year programs.
