So I have seen this on another forum and thought it was very interesting. Id also like to see reasons why prospective students (such as myself) should choose BGSU. A lot of people who are interested in this school could benefit from seeing reasons laid out. So i’ll start #1.

BGSU was ranked 11th in nation for its strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students by U.S.News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” 2010 edition.

The resources of a large university with the class sizes and individual attention of a small college.

Sports! Division I football and basketball tickets that you can actually afford. Big-time hockey (same conference as Michigan, Ohio State, and Notre Dame). Women’s basketball in the NCAA tourney 5 of the last 6 years!

Lots of brand-new student buildings and newly-renovated residence halls.

Safe, quiet, small-town location but only 20 minutes from Toledo, 2 hours from Cleveland and Columbus, 3 hours from Cincinnati and Indianapolis, and 4 hours from Chicago and Pittsburgh.

There is ALOT of focus on the undergrad. Not only through aid, but on a social level. They make you feel welcomed. I know my admissions officer on a first name basis, and he send me scholarships and keeps me updated on everything! ther schools admitted me and then I didnt hear anything else. BGSU made me feel loved and like a welcome addition to the collegic family. Ive shaken hands with deans, talked to future professors, and met with those who are over the programs i’ve recieved scholarships from. Not to mention all the activities. I invited to an overnight trip where I was picked up from my city and transported. I was fed and housed at no charge. Im in love with the school.
