Please tell me you are being sarcastic, nyuclassof2017

Nice dorms for freshman and sophomores, mainly.

Stern is awesome if you’re in it. Tisch is the one of the best Theater schools. Gallatin is extremely unusual.

Because of ^ NYU students have different perspectives, and your roommates, clubs, etc . . give you the chance to meet really unique people.

NYU owns most of the buildings around Washington Square Park - its awesome when a public park is basically your campus.

NYU is in downtown NYC - so great location. All the main buildings are also located fairly close to each other.

NYU has a good reputation, and is a target for a lot of companies looking to hire interns during the school year

Interesting and unusual courses. (Economics of Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll). I know that’s not completely unique to NYU, but its still a major plus.

That’s all I can think about right now. Haters gonna’ hate. (Sorry I had to say that). Anyways, this is not the thread to demean NYU. Go somewhere else.

If you’re talking to me when you say this isn’t the thread to demean NYU, trust me, I’m not demeaning NYU in anyway. It’s just Chinatown isn’t exactly the “cleanest” or “nicest” neighborhood in the city. Greenwich Village on the other hand, is amazing.

@nothingto Isn’t the NYC ivy substitute Columbia?
@Popcorn11201 Columbia IS an ivy.
Most of these great comments about NYU are made by dreamy eyed high school seniors. NYU has among the least generous financial aid of major universities. If you are rich and your parents are generous and you didn’t get into Columbia, then go to NYU.
