No one in my school... highest we had here I think was a 2300.

I have a problem with the College Board releasing how many people have gotten perfect scores when they have not even posted all the scores online. They haven't put my score up yet, but I know I didn't come any where close to getting a perfect score. That makes me wonder why they are holding some scores back if they have graded all of them.

CB is kind of sketchy these days...

No one who knows their score has gotten a 2400 at my school

Yup. They had much better policies in the early 90's.

scolioquy, yes but typically most ppl that get 2400s have other stats at least decent...
and i would say that Top 2400 makes u pretty safe at Top 20 and lower schools.. Two-three 800s on SAT IIs will make u safe at Top 15 and lower..
but Harvard has tons of applicants w/ perfect scores, high GPAs, good course program, etc..... so it will be of importance to have good awards, ECs as well...

i didnt hear anyone getting 2400 at my school.. Many 2200+ though

At least 1 in Maryland.

my friend got a 2400...not my school but same district...she works liek a mofo tho so i think she definitely deserves it

OK -

So here's what I've gathered from various news articles around the country:

California - 24
District of Columbia - 3
Florida - 0
Maryland - 5
Massachusetts - 7
New Jersey - 15
New York - ?? is it 24 or 11?
Ohio - 3
Pennsylvania - 2
Texas - 7
Virginia - 6

So that accounts for 96 or 83 (depending on how many in New York)

I'm pretty sure NY was only 11

Cant remember but I think two got perfect at my school. Public, NYC not hard to guess which one it is. Several in 2300+ range.

I think NEW YORK CITY was 11 not NEW YORK STATE. Considering around 6-8 got perfects counting only THREE of the public schools in NYC. Not even counting the day preps.

^ Its new york state. College Board does not report by metropolitan area, just state area. There is no need to spread misinformation to gain an edge. That is bad for America and downright unpatriotic in our fact obsessed country.

New York did well, 11 perfect SAT's is nothing to scoff at.

Hmm sounds good. Thanks for clearing that up. Not trying to spread misinfo but I heard it was 11 to NYC alone. Wow, so we have around 6 or so alone from NYC so the rest of the state had 5. Quite interesting.

What about Illinois? You'd think the Chicago area would produce a lot of perfect scores?

However, you people are neglecting the top states. North Dakota should lead the pack with Mississippi and Arkansas coming in second. In fact, most of the late scores are from these states. They're so good they're saving them for a special press release.

Seriously, though, what about Illinois and even Connecticut?

i believe East coast states will produce higher scores...

I seriously don't understand how they have these stats without having graded a bunch of our tests.

Many CT kids had their test postponed due to snow and are among those still waiting for scores. My guess is there will be several 2400s coming from CT soon...not me though. :)
