Btw, the deadline is tomorow!

I saw something for that posted at my school, and then I've seen advertisements here. I meet the criteria, but I don't know if it's something I want to do...

that's weak. they should get people who have scored perfect 800s on everything.

I agree with wrathofgod64. There are so many people out there with an 800.

The people who scored perfect 800s on every section have better things to do with their time.

That, and there are too few of them to create an effective pool of candidates for this TV show.

I don't know. This whole thing sounds a bit shady. I mean, the email address was "@yahoo.com."

What is this? A copy of The Scholar?

It seems like if they had 250k to give away to some kid they could afford a real website, not an ugly template from Frontpage.

No we don't. Btw - it's not every section...it's on one section. With this new SAT, there should be more than 10,000 kids with that.

I would actually apply for that just because 250k is a lot of money, sadly I live on Long Island...

we have one at our school here in Redlands (SoCal)..... Jennifer wang

got 2400 on SATs first time she took it (march) and 800 on Math2, US hist, and Lit. In addition she has 5's on 5 different AP tests so far (junior year) and straight A's, no -'s (GPA like 4.72-ish). Talk about cream of the crop Azn perfection...

no sports though ;)

lmao she doesn't need any O_O

she is going to wrok at macdonalds..

vagrant, is she gonna be on the show tho?

Its on TNT network? The producers should mix the show with most extreme elimination challenge! I can picture it now:

Kenny Blankenship: Look at those nerds do their math problems! They make our normal Japanese Contestants look mediocre.
Vic Romano: Yes..Lets throw them in a pool of mud and dirty their pocket protectors.
Kenny Blankenship: Okay, first let me make asians look ludicrous by insulting their culture because America thinks its funny.

I applied, but I would probably be too embarassed/shy to actually go on the show. I got 800 math 790 writing 740 verbal and my 9th grade GPA is totally mediocre.

it seems pretty sketchy.. TNT would have a link from its own website or an @tnt.tv email..

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest doing this....it looks really sketchy.

I'm not doing it, but I'm sure a lot of reality tv shows start off really shady. You very rarely ever hear about a reality show auditioning until it becomes successful. Did you ever hear about the Scholar looking for students or see a link for it on ABC's website?

They should put my friend on that show just to make fun of his name. It's... Harry Wang.
