I am in 10th grade at the #27 high school in the nation. The school is very competitive. I am around #20 out of 150 in my class and I have a 3.85 unweighted cumulative gpa. I am the quarterback of my school's team and I also play basketball. I have not yet taken the SAT or the ACT. Also, is it true that Harvard only accepts one student from each respective high school?

thats not true. but you’re gpa is good. be sure to do good on your sat/act. buy books to study or get a tutor. what are you interested in? whatever it is, express that through your extracurriculars. for example, if you like law you’d go for debate. but you can go above and beyond like a lot of other kids do. you should do things outside of school that express your interest. do things that are hard to explain, not hard to do. I actually read that out of a book by cal newport. i can explain the concept to you if you’re interested. oh yeah, and dont forget to live. harvard is cool and all, but its not the end of the world if you dont get in. i swear some people act like their first love broke up with them or something when they get denied. they spent all that time doing what they thought harvard wanted and didnt live their lives, and they got denied. have a balance in life. you can totally do it.
