140 Public universities charge more for certain majors

<p>I think left out of the discussion is the fact that the cost is not just infrastructure, but also salaries (professional school professors make a lot more than humanities professors for example, at times 3X as much). Professional schools often offer other features besides labs, including their own dedicated career centers, etc. So its a bit apples and oranges. Seems really reasonable to me (and I say that as a parent whose child will pay about 2X the tuition that another student might pay at the same school because of choice of major).</p>
