Okay, so as of right now I took my first SAT 2 months ago.
I got a 1500.

For the school I want to go to, I need to have a 1950 and up.

Is it possible to go up that high in over the summer?

If so, what resources should I use?
I know the Rocket R is good, but I cannot get my hand on that.
And what is a good book for writing? I've read the other threads, but I don't know if those books are good for ppl with high scores only.

Also, I was offered to cowork with Ivy League students over the summer in a teaching program. However, I was afraid that this will affect my schedule for studying the SAT. So should I go for the program or not? Will it enhances my college app by alot? Should I risk the time?

My first practice test: 1400. I never thought i’d get anywhere.
My first real SAT: 2000.
My practice tests now: 2200 - 2300. i’m going to try to get into ivy league schools.

with lots of hard work and perserverence, it’s definitly doable. I’ve found that the Barron’s SAT book is extremely, extremely helpful. you really need to learn everything in that book, take a couple of practice tests, and your score will undoubtably rise.

when you understand everything in that book and know it like the back of your hand, but you’re still getting around an 1800-1900, try the SAT 2400 book. it offers focused, clear advice about getting your score to the highest it can possibly be.

I got like 142 on my PSAT and then 1630 on my first SAT. I studied for it and got 1980 so yeah, it’s possible. Just make sure you’re studious :).
