So, that's my latest SAT score..only taken one practice SAT (not in one sitting...). My WEAKEST (very very weak) section is the math where I'm in the 450's range...any tips? My strongest section is the writing--> 690-700 range...CR I get 570-ish...so, how CRAMMING advice please for the JAN SAT.

what can I do from now till then to get somewhere in the 2000's? PLEASE :)

Pfft. Get the Blue book, and do Tests from cover to cover.

Math's easy -- you can do it without a calculator (but you probably should do it with, because testing messes up most people's arithmetic). If you have math problems that annoy you, feel free to PM/IM me.

I would have been ok with your writing score. anyway, math is really easy if you do soem more pracitice. may be practice the same questions again. it will be very useful if u can pick the pattern the questions follow

Well, my advice, cram urself with some typical maths problem and apply these models to every similar problem~~it's expedient
btw~ur writing is good, maintain it.

better calculator really helps. I'm naturally good at math, but my TI-89 makes it easy to avoid mistakes punching in the numbers and the various extra features (especially the solve()) function are AMAZING.

BTW, you can't use 89s on the ACT but can on the SAT.

drsarah-you've no time to waste, get off this site and cram books the asian way. Get barrons mathworkbook or the blue book, and start hitting the probems. There's no shortcut.

its not that hard raise math score i used blue book i highly recomend it for the math practice test, i used princton 11 practice test don't kno if helped me or not and barrons, i went from 660 psat to 800 with hardly one hour practice each saturday for like 2 months

don't expect a 2000+. just try your best

ignore everyone here who is telling you to use ti89. use the calculator which you feel is the most comfortable. for me, i just used a ti 30xa and i got a 800 in math because i'm like super quick with that calculator. also, don't rely on your calculator. the math problems are pretty straight forward so you should be able to do it in your head. also, read the questions well the first time so you won't have to go back. time is always pressed.

CR is pretty hard to cram. expand ur reading selections basically and learn the strategies to getting the reading comprehension down.
Writing ur fine, maybe just practice more of the essay writing techniques
Math, just practice where you're weak at. if u arent too hot in geometry, then look over the topic and review it, especially if ur in a higher math class.
