Hey guys so my ultimate goal is to get a 2100 by October of my senior year since it will be my last chance.
My scores now are : W 660, M 620, and CR 510 (yikes..i know) 1790/2400

What can I possibly do to improve my score and is it possible to improve that much in 2 months? I have this summer as my last chance.PLEASE help what can I do to break the 700 in each section and greatly improve my Critical Reading!!! :(

It is certainly possible. See the stickied threads for preparation advice. Ask any specific questions that you have here.

Yes, it is possible; however, you should be prepared to spend multiple hours each day studying until then.

^ That probably won’t be necessary. In fact, I have found that that much preparation can backfire.

Really? SO what do you suggest Silverturtle???

^ With respect to study schedules, I don’t feel comfortable generalizing, other than to say that preparing too much without taking time to reflect on your mistakes is problematic. Personally, I spread out my studying signficantly (one or two sections a day at most), and that worked well for me.

As for specific preparation advice, I share that in my guide, which is one of those stickied threads.

However, this person only has two months to increase his or her score by 300 points; therefore, preparation can only be spread out so much. It will depend on many factors.

Also, if he or she does around 2-3 sections a day, that’ll be around 50-75 minutes per day only taking the sections. Depending on how carefully this person reviews explanations for missed questions—something she should do quite thoroughly—that can add a significant amount of time to the studying as well. I’d say this person should be prepared to do 2 hours of studying per day at the least.

If you’re not taking any subject tests, you can take the SAT in October, November, and January; as you can still send SAT scores to colleges even during January, you have a lot more time than you think!

And if you are taking the SAT II subject tests, then take those in October and take your SAT I in November (As the latter is more influential than SAT II scores, you’ll have more time to study for the SAT I).

Cheers.

Listen, the only section worth hardcore studying for is the writing. Memorize all the rules, etc. Learn to game the essay. Anyone, with reasonable intelligence, is capable of a 750+.

Also, math is easy to raise if you can just understand concepts… AKA its STRAIGHTFOWARD. For CR just memorize vocab… you’ll improve on the Reading Passages naturally.
