<p>S is very happy at MD, loves the environment, the food, the kids. and roommate. His H's seminars are brilliant, Russian is great, but is bored stiff in Math 340 and finds the teacher obtuse. In CS he's unhappy with the version of Java they're using and looks around and is stunned by all the nerds! LOL </p>
<p>We got the skinny last night over an Indian dinner is Georgetown.</p>

<p>I've only talked to my son once on the phone and a quick text message since move-in, but he sounds good and happy. He's made friends and likes his classes. Seems like a good start!</p>
<p>I'm pretty bored lol. At home right now. Dorm is fun and everyone is pretty much cool but the classes aren't that fun. I got lost a few times getting to my classes and ended up missing chemistry (thne showing up the next day to an empty chemistry class cuz apparently we weren't going to have a discussion yet lol). Got to lecture and found it pretty boring (my chem class is probably 50-60 people too). Honr298A (doctrine and debate) has been the exact opposite of what I expected. He just speaks for the entire class and everyone writes it all down. Farsi has been kind of fun but it's moving really slow for me (which was expected I guess since I know urdu) but it's been kind of fun. </p>
<p>On a very important side note, I've found my skill level in Super Smash Brothers Brawl to have improved significantly :P</p>
<p>Reality is sinking in for D, who now really appreciate the easy classes and light schedule last year!!! Now that everyone from her dorm floor has scattered to other places, she's been making the rounds catching up with everyone. She's in an on-campus apt.... I haven't asked her whether she's cooked anything yet. After the first couple of days, her meals had consisted of Kix and PBJ sandwiches!!! (btw In her German class, there are 12 people!) </p>
<p>... and the loft people said they will FINALLY deliver and set up the loft for her roommate tomorrow afternoon, so D won't be claustrophobic in the bottom bunk anymore???!!!</p>

<p>Called our DS the other day and wherever he was at it was noisy (heard lots of voices in the background) That being said it explains why we don't hear from him except could you mail me XYZ! At least I am not getting the I hate it here and want to come home calls!</p>
