I expected a 4 on my APUSH exam, but I got a 2. I maintained an A throughout the whole year and I got a 2. My teacher was also a really good teacher giving us Essays and DBQs to write. Sure the multiple choice tests was so much easier then the exams and he gave us the essay questions before hand, but I honestly feel like it's all my fault. I studied so hard for that test bought the books and even formed a study group. Most my friends got 4s and I'm so ashamed of my score. I tried my best yet apparently it wasn't good enough. Is this test score a reflection of how I'm going to do in school next year? I signed up for a lot of AP classes and think I can handle it. Is that thinking a delusion when giving this test my all had landed me a 2?

It’s not a delusion of how well you’ll do in school but it is probably an indicator of how well you will do on future AP exams. If you formed study groups, studied from multiple review books, and had a good teacher, then it really just comes down to you. If you got a 2 then there was a serious flaw in your knowledge base.

take less APs 2 is low especially if you studied so hard

Do you think that how long I’ve studied for the test would have affected my score? I have done study groups and reading through my books, but I packed that into the weekend before the actual test. I’m a bit of a procrastinator yet I always manage to work harder on a given assignment because of the stress. Was cramming us history in four days a dumb thing to do? I know that it sorta threw me off on one of the essays because I mixed up two major concepts in the 1600 that I briefly went through. But I felt as if the DBQ and multiple choice would have outweighed that essay. Should I not have procrastinated on studying for the test?

Your score is the answer to your questions. You should have studied over time, giving yourself time to absorb the material. Cramming rarely is an effective study method.
