Is that good for a school like it does increase my chances that two people this year got accepted?

Was this a one year thing or is it common? If it's common, I'd say it's a plus.

So, if a school has a track-record in sending kids to good schools, it is beneifical to all students? Why is that?

Because they know that the school is competitive enough to send kids to those kinds of schools

my school sent 4 to Penn last year, only 1, only 1 in all rounds was accepted this year, and the applicant pool from my school was just as competitive if not more.
