2 questions from an admitted student

I was wondering if a current student/alumni/someone who's done this before could tell if whether or not I should be expecting some sort of a letter from Caltech? Also, how rare/common is it for an offer of admission to be revoked?

Thanks

I can’t remember if I received a letter. I think I did, but that may have only been for accepted students. I do know I received my admission decision online.

I know someone who received an F in a community college class their last semester of senior year, and their admission was not revoked. I think you would have to fail a majority of your classes for it to be revoked, but in the past they have sent a stern letter if you start making Cs or worse asking if you should reconsider whether you’re ready for Caltech. Nothing binding though.

Caltech is different in that they send no letter. You will probably get a christmas card and a booklet.
