Why do some schools only have 2-year business programs (UF, UC Berkeley, UMich, etc.)? For your first two years are you undeclared or can you major in something else? Would I be able to do bioengineering for my first two years and then do business?

At my school (University of Central Florida) for the first two years you’re technically not in the college of business. Then after you complete your 60 credits and the necessary pre-reqs (which at UCF are fin. and man. accounting and a business calc-type class), you “apply” to the college of business with your intended major such as finance or accounting. I say “apply” in quotations because no one is truly rejected from admission to the college of business unless your GPA isn’t at the necessary level, which I believe is a 2.5 or so, and you haven’t completed the necessary pre-reqs. The schools you mention likely have a similar system. I don’t know of any school that would allow you to get a Bioengineering and business degree in a total of four years without taking a ton credit hours a semester lol

Its 2 years because there’s not really enough stuff to teach in “business” that it would take you 4 years to learn.
