20 units

Quick question about units.

I am currently enrolled in 20 units for fall semester, but I only intend to take 18 because I don’t want to pay extra. However, can I stay enrolled in 20 when the semester begins, sample the classes for a week, and then decide which to drop? Or will I have already had to pay the extra tuition by then?

My son’s advisor told him that if he added a minor he could apply for a waiver to cover the cost of the extra two units. You might ask your advisor about it.

Yes. I think the refund period is at least 2 weeks in. You can find the dates on the school calendar. Look it up…

Yes, you’ll be fine as long as you drop the class before the add-drop period ends, or at least that’s what my advisor told me. Also, what @Angeline13 is talking about is the Academic Achievement award. If you have more than one major/have a minor, and your GPA is above 3.75, you can apply for it and have funding for up to 21 units.
