2006 Football season

Time to discuss what's really important...

Went to the game, didn't like the rain before hand as it prevented my tailgating - went to BW3's and Woody's before the game, Cliff's at half time. Needless to say I don't remember a lot about the game but what I do remember I liked:

Was really impressed by all the Ibacks - especially Marlon Lucky. Brandon Jackson's TD run was really awesome - he's definitely the best at pass pro and hence played on most 3rd downs.

Glad to see Matt Herian out there and actually making a move on the defender - something he rarely did before he was hurt.

Joey Ganz looked great coming in at QB for mop up duty. Made me feel a little better if god forbid Zac were to go down.

Defense was boring - but that's by design in anticipation of USC

Next game is Nichol's State which I will be skipping since I have a test on the 16th in the morning before USC and am trying to tell myself that I'll actually study during the game (since I have to listen to it on the radio). The Colonels actually are a option heavy team, passing the ball only 7% of the time. Difficult to prepare for, and definitely going to chew up the clock. Look for a lower scoring game.

My pick: Huskers 38 Colonels: 13
