2006 Transfer Rates

Well, I suppose there's no reason to rush the application, then. Does anyone here know whether Reed accepts college standardized test scores for transfers?

Is Reed's transfer rate generally that high (41%)?

can someone tell me pitzer's transfer rate (%)?

Does anyone know UVa's out of state acceptance rate?

I didn't think that UVA (like UMich-LAS) gave deference to out-of-state applicants.

I contacted an adcom there when I was considering applying and was told that Virginia is harder for transfers and that the admission rate/standards are pretty similar to freshman OOS.

That's a real downside to UVA. Although, I've heard that they award excellent FinAid packages. Since UMich doesn't really start awarding merit aid until the 32/33 ACT range, I may end up putting an application at UVA anyway.

That's disappointing, but it sounds about right. It's a state school, it's not their responsibility to reward good OOS students. I'm probably going to give applying there a shot anyways. I really like the school a lot.

Sachmoney, where else are you applying? Given the similarity, I'm wondering if applying to both UMich-LAS and UVA is a good idea.

I'm probably going to apply to a good handful of schools. I'm gonna study business/economics with may be a double in history. I want to go to Ross in Mich, but I might be fine with Econ in LSA if I do Math or something to complement it. I like UVa a lot like I've said before, but I mean I have other options.

Let me know how the search is going. I'm interested in the Economics/Math route at UMich LAS. Outside of Reed and Chicago, it's my top choice.

Which universities and colleges offer decent Financial Aid to International Transfer Students?

If you got in as a freshman, does that mean you have a good shot at getting in as a transfer applying as a freshman?

Pitzer transfer rate 2007 : 16 %

I second mathwiz's question.

I directed the same question to the folks at the University of Chicago, and according to their admissions staff, the decision on transfer applicants is made independent of whether a student was accepted as a freshmen. Of course, not applying as Freshman might come up.

Well, the only 2 students that I heard of being accepted this year as transfers at Chicago were my son and and the son of another CC poster, and were both accepted last year as well [as freshman].

damnit 50% acceptance rate at CALS makes me feel stupid ;[

Can someone tell me FORDHAM transfer acceptance rate.
