2008 Transfer Rates

Does anyone know what Boston College's transfer rate is?

Anyone have UChicago '08? Last year it was a dismal 12%.

Does anyone know for Wellesley? I read that there were 103 applied, only 30 were taken and only 12 enrolled...is that correct?

for cornell's transfer, what % of CALS are GT?

[/quote]

I was a non-GT external transfer to CALS, and from my experience (qualitatively), I'd say 66%+ of the transfers I know were GT. People shouldn't get false hopes when they see the transfer rate at 45%ish, which isn't adjusted for kids with guarenteed acceptances.

what about MIT and caltech?

Does anyone know how many transfers applied to Pomona College?

What is the transfer rate for Emory…?

Anyone knows about Georgetown and Tufts?

Anyone know for Georgia Tech?

Georgetown’s this year (from my acceptance letter): “considered over 2,000 for ~160 spaces”, so the acceptance rate is probably 180-200 out of 2,000+

Anyone have the transfer acceptance rates for Northeastern and Indiana University?

Thanks

I’d like to know the Northeastern one as well. Also, I was accepted into Northeastern but had to deny it for financial reasons, but being accepted as a freshman…does it help chances at all?

Also, Where did everybody get the Vanderbilt and Notre Dame Acceptance rates for transfers…they seem pretty high for schools that have really low acceptance rates normally

Third that on Northeastern? Anybody know the rates? Thanks.

50% of transfers are accepted at Northeastern

Any data from Purdue and University of Florida?

Cheers.

I was looking up transfer admissions on collegeboard… so I’m not sure which years transfer admissions these numbers represent. Please note that these statistics are only for fall admission. If you know more recent transfer rates or another schools please feel free to update. Thank you :)

I know Stanford only admitted about 2% of their applicants this year, which was exactly 23 students.

"Stanford to Admit 23 Transfer Students for Fall 2009

May 7, 2009

Admission decisions for transfer students are expected to be released on May 15 after 5pm (Pacific Time). All decisions will be sent via email to applicants and will not be available on any Stanford Web site. Admitted students will also be mailed a packet of information explaining how to confirm their enrollment and information on transferring college credits. Because of Stanford’s extraordinary retention rate (98% of freshmen are expected back for their sophomore year), we will be able to admit less than 2% (23 total) of those students who have applied for admission. "

Clairmont McKenna is 32.6%? That is way too high. I think that is wrong.

CMC opened new dorms last year and accepted a lot more. Last year, it took 60 new transfers; this year, it’s taking 20.

Oh I see. That makes sense. Because I remember when I was looking at CMC, they were less than 10%. Thanks Dupes.
