AE? EE? Materials? Please. :)

Oh sorry.. I think they have not been posting yet. I think it is coming soon. Hey guys, If i post those ranking, I'm going to have a problem?? Is it legal??

Rankings have been posted all the time. At worst, they will delete them, but I've never seen that happen.

aw SD's rankings went down a bit from last time i think...=(. ehhh

this is for graduate I think

from this listing; this reaffirms my desire to go ga tech

Post undergrad AE and ME whenever you get it please. :)

Oh, and also are these all the schools they ranked or are these schools the only ones that offer that program in the whole country?

This appears to be the graduate school information. US News is still showing 2007 for everything else.

Rankings shouldn't change much. The only reason they change is to keep people interested and pay for it.

This is for sure the graduate school level. 2008 undergraduate rankings are not yet available. OP you should really put that in your title so you don't confuse people.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SCHOOLS LISTED BY THE ORIGINAL POSTER IN THIS THREAD ARE GRADUATE SCHOOL RANKINGS.

THANKS!

sucks that UIUC went down a bit :(

The rankings only include those schools I already listed. If there is another list somewhere I don't know how to access it. If someone does please tell me how.

Here is the methodology on the ratings by specific major (eg. mechanical engineering):

The U.S. News rankings of undergraduate programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology are based solely on the judgments of deans and senior faculty who rated each program they are familiar with on a scale from 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished)...
We also asked for nominations of the best programs in specialty areas; those receiving the most mentions in each appear here.

They simply asked the people filling out the survey on the overall engineering school rankings to just add that - hence the different numbers. Not very scientific either.

The people filling out the survey were deans and senior faculty though. There is no one is better qualified to judge the quality of a program IMO.

Sort of assumes they know a lot about all the different colleges though. But I can't think of anybody else they would ask.
