Yeah, that’s not even remotely close to what I drew. Whoops!

Lol thats a cladogram isnt it?

That’s exactly what I drew, actually. My biology teacher told me it was a cladogram when we looked through the green packet and he saw my drawing. He said it should be fine, though.
Google image search isn’t helping much. It almost seems like the two terms are interchangeable?

So shark and trout are one amino acid apart, if we use it in context?

ok good.

and for that first question. The fish one. When it said what variables could not be accounted for, what did you guys say? i said 1. there could’ve been food in the middle causing the fish to go to the middle. and the second reason i bsed. I said that the fish might’ve felt more at home in the center of the tank because they were not as exposed to the other environment. Do you think that would work?

And for the energy pyramid one, did you guys draw another pyramid or just write in the trophic levels and examples? Because i did the second one and labeled it diagram 3 or something. It was kinda messy. Do you think i’ll get points docked off for that?

i redrew the pyramid and labeled it.

lol for fish.
i put age and sex.

how hard was that?

For the variables I also put something about food being in the middle. I BSed the second one and wrote about how parts of the gradient tank (whatever it was called) could have had uneven lighting, so the fish would favor one part over the other. It made no sense. haha

The directions on the pyramid one didn’t specify where to put what, so I wrote the graders a little note explaining my confusion, directing their attention to the diagram.

0_0 why didn’t you guys put age and sex?

^ I didn’t think of it lol.

yeah, im just hoping that my second fish reason will count for something : /

I labeled the drawing that they gave “Diagram 3” and in my essay i said something like look at diagram 3 to see an example of a marine ecosystem.

So overall i liked frq 2 and 4 the most because i actualy knew those. 1 wasn’t too bad and 3 was ok, the phylogeny drawing killed me.

I redrew the pyramid and labeled it with little numbers, then addressed each number below. I used diatoms->shrimp->whales (eating krill)->sharks as examples.

For the fish thing, I didn’t really know what to put so I BS’d with water pH and oxygen concentration. Like, different parts of the tank could have different pH’s and oxygen concentrations, so fish might gather in certain places because of that rather than the temperature? It felt kind of stupid, but whatever, I couldn’t think of anything, lol.

^ yeah for the trophic levels i used seaweed, then fish, then bigger fish and then sharks… so… i dunno about that one.

i used grass-rabbits-snake-owl. i think.

^ i think it asked for marine ecosystem…

OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG. wow…that was suchhhhhhhhhhhhhh a fail. which question are you talking about though?

omgggg. for the trophic levels we were suppose to name organisms?
i put primary producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary consumers. wow, i suck!

lol i labeled that too.
and then i gave examples with the grass-rabbit-snake-owl thing.

i think the marine ecosystem one was another part…

Well, it said to label what the trophic levels were AND give examples, so you still got half of it.
It definitely asked for a marine ecosystem, though.

I think I drew a cladogram for mine as well…how many partial points do you think that will be? I loved question 4; i think I nailed that one.

ughhhhhhh. this sucks. i already did horrible on the exam. i need to learn to read.

okay the consumer/producer thing i totally bsed on. I put plankton, small fish, medium fish and shark… You were supposed to both label and give examples.

I also used HIV. I talked about RNA going to DNA and stuff.

For phylogeny, I choose paleontology (go Ross!) and embryology. I though the lab was stupid. I guessed and put sunlight and pressure.
