2009 AP Test Rescore

I’m having the same dilemma with my AP US history test. I got a 2 but I honestly studied non-stop and felt really good about the test when I walked out thinking I got a 4 or five. Should I rescore???

To the OP, rescore and tell us how it goes…

Is anyone 100% sure that free response cannont be rescored? Because I recieved a 2 on the exam when I’m 100% positive I deserved at least a 4. When I wrote my essays the papers got stuck together so my essays were all over the place (i.e. essay two was in between essay one and part of essay three etc.) I have no idea HOW it happened, but it did. You’re supposed to number your essays at the top, and I think I did but I’m not positive. Do you think it’s possible for the people scoring my essays to have read them wrong (because I know I probably would have). In class I recieved 8’s and 9’s on my essays, so for me to do this bad doesn’t make any sense…

It isn’t that the readers “read your essays wrong,” it’s more that the scoring machine neglected to add your MC score and your essay scores, therefore cutting your score in half or so. Having your test rescored means that they’ll catch their mistake and I think refund the money you paid for it :S

Did you accidently write your essays in the wrong language?

Ok, so I received two letters today from AP about my re-score. Both letters basically say that the original score is the correct score, and that the free-response graders are highly trained and fair. However, my college did allow me to take a placement test which enabled me to skip 4-5 levels of French in college. So for that reason I’m happy.

ok well i recently got my ap results and it says 1 on AP Comp Sci A, but i have a perfect 6.0 gpa in the class and studied like crazy the entire year writing code, practicing code, getting tutored, etc…same goes for APHUG (gotta 3 btw) but i studied barron’s 2…did 7 practice essays, and took 3 practice tests…and I also studied every minute i was idle…meaning no minute was left free…i also walked out of the test feeling very confident about my essays and 60% sure about the multiple choice…also i dont get how my friends dont study at all and get 4 on the APHUG n like 2 or 3 on the APCS and im a first ranker in school and i studied by butt off for both tests…
oh and to add…i was expecting a 5 on the APHUG and 4 on the APCS when i walked out

should i rescore?
