So I took AP English Lang and was expecting a 4 or 5, but I got a 2! I just called in and was shocked because I was doing so well in my class (I've always taken honors since freshmen year) and my english teacher told us that we would all be prepared, last year everyone got a 4 or 5 and only 2 people got 3's. Reading and writing are also my highest SAT scores. I got a 4 on Art History which was supposed to be way harder and I left the english exam thinking I did pretty well and probably got a 4. I'll wait to get my scores in the mail too just to make sure the phone call thing didnt mess up, but I guess I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should get this rescored? How much does it cost? Has anyone had a similar experience where they did badly on an exam that was supposed to be easy? Thanks for any responses!

It costs $25 to get your MC rescored…it’s ■■■■■■■■ that YOU have to pay if THEY make a mistake…I don’t even think you get a refund if your score increases…

They don’t rescore the essays also? hmm ok. When they mail the scores, is it just a sheet of paper with the exam name and then the score next to it, or do you actually see which questions you missed? I’m just wondering if I can see which ones I missed because then I can look back online at the released exam to see what I remember selecting.

Nope, all they have on a piece of paper is test name and test score. Nothing more, nothing less (unless u got an award).
Try calling them. In the past, College Board has actually LOST the free response books. Check to see if they lost yours.

They don’t regrade the essays because the essays have already been extensively examined.

Ok, I will try calling to see if they lost the FRQ. Is there an additional fee for that?

You probably should. I got a calculator out, and if you did decent on multiple choice but the essays were lost, it would be a 2

SeattleLove13: Yes, there is. I believe it’s $7.

^The $7 fee is for requesting your FRQ booklet be mailed to you. Of course, if they can’t find your FRQ booklet, it’s likely they lost it (and, in turn, it’s likely that a rescore would be a good idea).
