It's not getting easier to get into UW...

Looks like I’m not getting in…

Nice to see this info published and available. Thanks for sharing.

UW managed to attract 217 of my old school’s seniors…almost 50% of the graduates of a 400 people or so class. That’s crazyyy.

217 people from your old school are attending UW?

Only 66 people from my school applied, 33 were accepted and only like around 10 attended. Oh yeah, our senior class was around 400 last year as well.

Yep. Newport in Bellevue.

That statistic is 217 people applied, not 217 people attended.

Oh, my bad. I guess I didn’t look at it carefully. That’s still quite a large number considering the class size.

Heh…figures those east side schools would dominate the in-state applications list. Most of them seem to ultimately attend out-of-state places, though. Too scared of the U-district’s bums and gutterpunks, maybe :D?

Well, the schools in Bellevue are the best in Washington and their graduates tend to do better than those who attend UW. Of course, I do know many seniors from Newport, Bellevue, and Sammamish who have great stats and have a chance at Ivy League’s, but ultimately choose UW, but that’s usually not the case.

Ahh…I need to work on my application. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about the Honors Program for pre-med students. I know this girl who graduated from my school a couple of years ago got into the program and I asked her about it and she said that it’s a waste of time and they don’t give you a lot of room to do what you want or take classes you want. Any thoughts on this?

OMG! I hope I can still get in!!!

Woo I’m slightly above the average. Don’t look at the average as the minimum. Remember half the students had less than a 3.72.
