^At first I saw that and was like, “You can get a 790 missing 5 MC questions?” Then I was like…oh you meant you got a 75 MC. You should be proud, anyways, that’s a great score to have!

Congrats to all you high scorers.

CR: 800
M: 640
W: 700
TOTAL: 2140

This was my first time taking the SAT (I’m a Junior) and I can’t decide if I should take it again. I’m aiming for NYU, USC, and Columbia, which are pretty competitive schools, but is it worth it to try for an even higher score?

^ No, you can’t, sorry. :|

Essay grading is subjective as evidenced by the high number of odd scores (I would say that over half of all scores are odd). I received a 12 and I feel very fortunate.

CR 780
M 720
W 760 (MC:70 / E:12)
Composite: 2260; 2340 superscore (800 M)

Getting mine re-scored because I should have done better on Math. If I’m wrong, oh well.

CR 740
Math 740
Writing 730

Can someone who gets their test re-scored let us know if anything comes up incorrectly? I’m a little worried about my math score too.

CR - 660
M - 580
W - 730
Composite: 1970

I’m applying to NEU, GW, and Fordham. Should I retake it?

Did any of you who scored quite a bit lower in math than expected have a math section early on in which the problems seemed odd or of an unfamiliar format? Son thought he aced all the sections in math except those in one section where the questions were not like any he had seen before in all of his practice tests. He assumed/hoped the section was experimental, but it must not have been because he scored much lower than he expected and 40 points lower than the last time despite a lot of studying this summer and fall.

That happened to me smb. I had one math section early on in which I left 3 blank and was unsure about a number of answers but thought every other section was easy and assumed it was experimental, and was wrong. I had like a 730 math on practice tests and that dropped 50 points.

all you guys need to stop b----ing and moaning about your scores. SERIOUSLY. you probably have another chance anyways!

First time junior, wants to apply to USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD, UC Irvine.
Re-taking in January.

reading: 670
math: 700
writing: 700 (essay 9, 69 MC)

Total: 2070

The Halfrican: Your description exactly matches my son’s. He left three blank and was unsure of a couple of other answers in just this one section. He didn’t leave any blank in the other sections and felt very confident. He dropped from a 700 to a 660 and did enough practice tests that he felt good about the likelihood of raising his scores. He studied for the CR and W as well and raised those 40 and 70 points respectively , so the drop in math really puzzles him.

750 M
740 W
680 CR- really wanted not to have anything in the 600s. It seemed that I was doing well on this section based on the message boards. Maybe some of the disputed questions didn’t go my way.

December SAT here I come!

Did no one have a 2400?

710 M
800 CR
790 W

I got a really bad score on the essay, and my math needs some drastic improvement. Oh well, I signed up for the January SAT back in early November and this time I will actually study instead of just relying on the Official SAT Question of the Day.

First-time SAT taker, and I’m a junior. However, one of my friend’s friends has similar stats (she took an SAT class though–I’m signing up for it soon) and she scored a 2340 back in October, so that’s not really an excuse.

720 M
720 CR
720 W
Total: 2160

Happy :)

time for some SAT IIs (Math 1,2 and Spanish)

Does anyone know the curve on November’s writing test? How many did I miss (I did all problems) to get 72 on mc subscore?

710 CR
760 M
770 WR
essay: 10
(don’t remember multiple choice)

Met my goals; wanted to have all my scores exceed 700, so I’m pleased. Total score improved by 250 points upon my SAT about a year ago, so that’s also good. I’m really surprised I did better on the Writing than the Math, however; last time, my Math was 100 points higher than my Writing. Peculiar.

MY *********** score ‘‘is not yet available’’
