^^^ycm1957, I don’t understand though… root 2 isn’t on the graph of g’(x)…

Yes, it is. It is on the semi-circle.

I forgot the critical point x = 2^(1/2), but I got x = 3 and got that it was not an extrema. I’m guessing I would still get some points for that?

^^^I am pretty sure you will get some points.

****, how many points do you think C was worth?

Since a and b are pretty easy, I assume it is a 5 point question.

on to number 6)

a) y = 8x - 6
b) y = 8(1.1)- 6 … less than because y’’ is > 0
c) y = root (-1/(9/4 - 2x^2)) ?? - seemed like some wack answer but idk

^
6)
a- i think i also got 8x-6
b) yea same reasoning as you
c) i got y = square root( 1/( -x^2 + (5/4)))

btw, i like jersey’s answers :D

did you get C as -9/8 ?

nope… -5/4

I think I got pretty much the same thing as user2134, with the negative moved around somewhat. However I also put a restriction, that x < (5/4)^(1/2) because otherwise you would be taking the square root of a negative number.

why was the second derivative there for?

So you could see if it was concave up or down.

If it gives anyone any hope, my teacher once had a student that accidentally switched the place of 2 FRQs (I dont know how that’s possible O_o) and got 0s on both FRQs and still got a 5. Keep in mind she had like a 97 in the class, and probably got all of the multiple-choice right though.

for question 2, was the value of the maximum a whole number? (i don’t remember the exact number after plugging in 12 except that the value was a whole number)

i realise i forgot the /2 when intergrating x… ■■■

^ it’s ok, i forgot the x2 after integrating x^1/2 when i was doing 4a

To justify whether your estimation of x = 1.1 was an overestimation or underestimation.

How many points do you guys think part (c) of #6 will be worth?

6 points^^. Ok so I just calculated my score, and it was around 67-71 should I be panicking, or do you guys think its safe to say I got in the 5 range?
