<p>What is a cause of any Panic, Depression, or other economic recession (rhyme) other than “overspeculation”.</p>

<p>The New Frontier basically was domestic aid in the areas of education, some civil rights and labor (minimum wage).</p>

<p>Events that led to the War of 1812 were…</p>

<p>-American desire for freedom of the sea
-Chesepeake-Leapard Affair (increased Anti-British feelings)
-Embargo Act of 1807
-British impressment of Americans
-Macon’s Bill No. 2 (if either Britain or France formally agreed to respect neutral rights at sea, then the US would prohibit trad with the nation’s foe)
-British support of Native Americans</p>

<p>The war hawks played roles in war of 1812 and Vietnam War. I can’t really remember if there were any other ones…</p>

<p>Roosevelt was with Big Stick/force. Taft basically abandoned this for forcing (really persuading not forcing) with money (Dollar diplomacy).</p>

<p>I just hit that feeling where you know the essays will be on nothing you’ve studied. But I suppose luck may smile upon me tomorrow…</p>

<p>Tyler became president after William Henry Harrison died. Tyler was the one who annexed Texas. Polk is closely associated with manifest destiny. I think he negotiated the territory of Oregon with the British. The U.S. gained California and New Mexico from Mexico during his presidency.</p>

<p>In 1913, the president of Mexico was murdered, and Victoriano Huerta replaced him, so a lot of Mexican immigrants came over the border.</p>

<p>At first, Wilson didn’t want to get involved, but after Mexico captured some American sailors, Wilson ordered the navy to seize Vera Cruz. Argentina, Brazil, and Chile (ABC) got involved so that the war with Mexico didn’t happen. The outbreak of WWI also distracted Wilson.</p>
