2010 Official Biosciences Interviews and Results

oh wow, congrats oncogene!!!

you’ve just made me nervous - i was relaxing cause no one had heard from any schools i applied to, but i did apply to cornell and GSK, but no word yet :frowning: oh well, fingers crossed :)

re: columbia - me neither…didn’t know we were supposed to…

yay! got interview invite from UPenn CAMB program!!

Congrats everyone for the interview invites!!

Congs to yaygrady, I’m just wondering which track of Upenn CAMB do you apply?
Thanks!

Congrats yaygrady!!
I don’t know how I’m going to make it through today haha. My girlfriend just got into NYU med this morning! So now NYC is an actual option. I need to stop reading this forum for my own mental health. :P

Thanks guys! I applied to the Gene Therepy and Vaccines Program but I am also interested in their Cancer Biology program as well.

@GCN2–Congrats to your gf!! Cornell is an excellent school…I applied there too…hope you get the interview invite! Fingers crossed:-) btw…did u get a call for an invite from UCSD or an email? My app is complete since October…just wondering!

RE the Columbia ID number, I wouldn’t worry about it. I got one, but the “track your application” function is pretty uninformative. It tells me all my LORs haven’t been submitted (when they have), and that even my personal statement hasn’t been submitted. Perhaps they just haven’t processed it yet? They also said they haven’t received my transcript, which is a bit troubling…

Congrats everyone! Does Cornell(weill) notify everyone at once? I haven’t heard a peep from any of the schools I applied to :(

yaygrady:
I got a phone call last Friday in the afternoon, and then I received an email from them about 15 minutes after the phone call. They have two interview weekends one in Feb that I think overlaps with Cornell, and March 5/6. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll hear something soon!

@nutmeg, me neither. i’m beginning to get worried because I know of people who have heard from duke and now cornell.

Cornell BCMB Interview!

Submitted App Nov 12th.
International student

Berkeley MCB anyone? I’m getting nervous. :-(

@biophd
Crap, people are hearing from Duke too, do you know which program(s)? I suppose there may be a tiny bit of hope left because I applied to a different program at Cornell(Immuno). I am just getting a sinking feeling about it

BioPhDplease, if you are worried with your stats, then I am royally screwed. You’ll get calls!!!

My husband wants me to stop reading this forum because I’m driving him nuts!

Hamster009, thanks for the vote of confidence. I reread my sop out of neuroticism for UNC BBSP and found a typo. I am mortified and have no idea how that happened (applying to lots of schools has its downfalls – too much to keep track of!)

no clue what program. i’m guessing their umbrella? ditto on the sinking feeling…

Has anybody heard from:
Harvard BBS, MIT Biology, Princeton Molecular Bio, JHU BMCB, Wisconsin CMB, Berkeley MCB, Stanford Molecular and Cellular Physiology or Biochem, UCSD Biological Sciences?

lol…you need to chill out lifesciencesgeek. those places probably won’t let you know before january.

one person has heard from JH BCMB but I believe this individual applied really early (September?)

I think she heard from Jhops Pharmacology, not BCMB. I have heard from UCSD biomedical. As far as I know, no word from biological sciences.

haha, Neurohopes, My professor said the only way to get through waiting to hear from grad schools is to “just go into a coma for awhile”, I am apt to agree with him!

No, Berkeley MCB interview offers are made December 22 through January 31.
